We got me, Phil and Noel Anker so far. need either a drummer or bassist...
The 1 Night Band...
Started out with me just wanting to play cover songs of some of my
old, all-time favorite bands, but at the same time not necessarily
wanting a long term commitment to a particular group.
I imagined that there would be like-minded musicians
around our fair Chico who might like
doing a one rehearsal and then play just one show type of thing.
Seems to be working...

Echo & the Bunnymen
The first project, Echo & the Bunnymen went off quite well. Had the funnest time playing I've had in a very long time. Phil Anker, Orion Karsch and Clint Bear came along for the ride. I had set up a date with Patryck McCauliff in Red Bluff. We showed up at a little mom & pop ice cream shop. And all of us were old enough the be the dads of every other band there. Heh.
So that was a lark. Patryck also arranged to have us all play at the bar next door afterwards. The End Up. Great bar name. Then the next night Cassidy had got us in to open for a show at the 1078 Gallery down in Chico. And that was a blast. The most ecstatic moment I've had in the longest time, going into the chorus of Lips Like Sugar with my eyes closed and a smile a mile wide.
